Within our firm, we represent corporate clients and talent who work across the entire media spectrum, including recording artists, songwriters, music producers, broadcasters, models, celebrities and other individuals that are frequently in the public eye.

We offer our services to both established clients and those at the formative stages of their career. Aside from individual counsel, our team is able to advise on the primary business and legal affairs relating to the specific industries and each of our representatives specialise in individual sectors.

Adam Van Straten is a highly accomplished lawyer, equipped with a compelling track record in advising on contractual and related issues for, in particular, the talent side of the entertainment, media and sporting worlds.

Adam is particularly well connected in Los Angeles, the Entertainment capital of the world. He is an Intermediary with The Football Association and is listed as an expert for the Music Industry in the Legal Experts Guide. Adam was formerly Head of Media at Magrath & Co and before this he was a Partner at Mishcon de Reya, both in London.

Working alongside Adam are Elysia Mathias (Office Manager & PA to Adam), Brooke Anderson (Consultant Paralegal), Raphael Adekunle (Paralegal) and Louis Williams (Trainee Solicitor).

2023 MMF nominated Music breakthrough Manager of the year Raphael is no stranger to the music industry; from managing Brit nominated artists such as S1MBA and achieving charting success with various clients Law graduate Raphael has done plenty deals in his time. With prior experience in drafting/ negotiating music contracts and a vast network of contacts across the industry, Raphael has now taken the step to further his law career here at Van Straten.

Combining his experience across various legal and commercial sectors with a Master's degree in Legal Practice, Louis offers a well-rounded understanding of media and entertainment law. His background in music PR enhances this, providing insight into industry trends and artist representation.
